- Train ride: Enjoy the scenic Expedition train journey from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes with breathtaking landscapes along the Sacred Valley.
- Machu Picchu guided tour: A 2-hour guided visit through the most important and fascinating areas of the Inca citadel.
- Free time: Explore the ruins, walk around Machu Picchu Pueblo, relax at the hot springs, or visit the Manuel Chávez Ballón Museum.
- Return trip: Train back to Ollantaytambo, followed by private transportation to Cusco, arriving in the evening.
Itinerary
Day 1
Cusco – Machu Picchu – Cusco
- 04:10 am: Hotel pick-up and transfer to Ollantaytambo train station.
- 06:10 am: Board the Expedition train to Aguas Calientes (arrival at approx. 07:40 am).
- Morning: Meet your guide, take the bus to the citadel, and enjoy a 2-hour guided tour of Machu Picchu.
- Midday: Free time to explore Machu Picchu on your own until the exit time (around 12:00 pm).
- Afternoon: Lunch on your own in Aguas Calientes. Optional visits to hot springs or museum.
- 02:50 pm: Be at the train station 30 minutes before departure.
- 03:20 pm: Train back to Ollantaytambo (arrival approx. 05:15 pm).
- Evening: Transfer by bus to Cusco. Drop-off at your hotel.
