Itinerary

Day 1

Cusco – Sacred Valley – Aguas Calientes

08:00 AM: Hotel pickup and departure to the Sacred Valley.
Pisac Market: Visit the famous Andean handicraft fair.
Pisac Archaeological Site: Guided tour of its terraces and temples.
Urubamba: Lunch stop (optional, $20 USD per person).
Ollantaytambo: Explore the fortress and town still inhabited by Inca descendants.
03:30 PM: Train to Aguas Calientes (arrival around 5:00 PM).
Overnight: Hotel stay in Aguas Calientes.

Day 2

Machu Picchu – Cusco

05:30 AM: Bus to Machu Picchu.
06:00 AM: Witness the sunrise at Machu Picchu.
Guided Tour: 2-hour explanation of the citadel’s main areas.
Free Time: Explore independently or hike to the Sun Gate or Inca Bridge. (Optional: Huayna Picchu/Machu Picchu Mountain for $25 USD).
Return: Bus down to Aguas Calientes, then train back to Ollantaytambo.
08:00 PM: Arrival in Cusco.
