Day 1
Cusco – Palcoyo – Cusco
- Pick-up from hotel around 06:00 am. Drive southeast of Cusco in private transport.
- Stop in Checacupe to visit its colonial temple, Inca bridge, and colonial bridge.
- Continue driving for about 1 hour to reach the starting point of the hike (4,900 m).
- Begin a 45-minute hike to the highest viewpoint at 5,000 m, passing through colorful mountain formations.
- Enjoy panoramic views of the Vilcanota Mountain Range and the snowcapped Ausangate.
- Free time (~1 hour) to explore and take photos.
- Descend for about 30 minutes back to the starting point.
- Enjoy your box lunch surrounded by nature.
- Return journey of approximately 3.5 hours to Cusco. Drop-off at hotel.
